Truly a classic singer/songwriter in her own right. Not only does the storytelling and her full-bodied voice evoke the narrative of this and many other albums (even her duet album with Glenn Cambpell in some respect), but it just transpires how truly talented and technical she was (classically trained). She has written and composed most of her albums, which was a very rare feat for women at that time. Kudos for writing about “The Delta Sweete”, and as the cliche goes, you hit the nail on the head on how underrated she is.
