I agree totally with sr-71 that "House of the Rising Son" is awful (on the album). That the owner of Mainstream fancied himself as a record producer did us (I was the rythym guitarist) no favor.To this day I still recall cringing to that particular song the first day I played the album. Dylan & the Beatles showed that you could write and perform your own material, but the idea got taken to the unfortunate extreme of people thinking that for a new band to ever play (let alone record) a cover is lame.
