Whether it was released in the states or not is a good question, and one I'll look into. But I suspect the first US release of the LP wasn't until the PVC reissue in 1978. I own a copy of that one, and it's a real tasty slab of licorice pizza. I have a few of his early solo discs that are pretty cool - Fish Rising and L. One of the truly amazing rock guitarists - ever. Good first showing!
