Couldn't resist sharing this Amazon.co.uk review of the above album with you all. I'm sure the writer won't mind!

"Wow! This band never got the recognition that they deserved back in the '60's. It's a great stagger down memory lane with all their Star Club recordings plus 2 un-released trax and some live stuff too! Even the booklet is great bed-time reading with loads of facts and pix.
I hadn't heard all this for many years and I played Lead Guitar on them!
Great stuff!
Malcolm Lenny, Tonbridge, Kent, UK."

PS: great surname, Malcolm.

Although musically I've found it easy to make comparisons with this group and a lot of other bands from the UK and the US from the same period, it's the lyrics that have hit really me. No straight forward popular R&B love songs or 'My Generation' type youth anthems or even early flower power declarations of peace and unity but some very imaginative songwriting verging on (in my opinion) poetry on occasions. Even tracks that could have been written for advertisements, like the one about Hoovers or greetings cards sound tripped out and convincing! Unlike certain much more well known acts that were just being handed a script, I can actually picture these guys experiencing every situation that they write about, "Tread Softly For The Sleepers' is a classic example, heh, brilliant!

Thanks for the review because I'd never heard of these guys before and would certainly recommend people track down the reissue.
