Personally I find this attitude, out of touch with the quality and style of the album, I enoyed your summary. The steel guitarist Jay Dee Maness plays with such a raw biting tone and attack, unlike most of his other recordings, which are quite damn good, but it's just so amazing to hear a young raw Jay Dee unfetted by convention.
