An interesting take on this record, when I first began reading about Gram and this band, the general census seemed to be that this was simply a warm-up record, an important step, but a faltering one in the evolution of country-rock.

Personally I find this attitude, out of touch with the quality and style of the album, I enoyed your summary.
The steel guitarist Jay Dee Maness plays with such a raw biting tone and attack, unlike most of his other recordings, which are quite damn good, but it's just so amazing to hear a young raw Jay Dee unfetted by convention.

So many times I've listened to this record, and this track hadn't ever stood out. Thanks so much for highlighting this fantastic track, Jay.
