This song has really moved me.

I know of the Watersons, and of Martin Carthy and Richard Thompson, and love them, but I had never heard this particular song, or this record.

It conveys a sense of spiritual connection to the ancient landscape that we are all part of, that will be shared by anyone who has &#039;roved out on a winters day&#039;.

Deeply pagan and beautiful.
