Hapshash & The Coloured Coat on Sundazed is an interesting reissue I like from 2009, one that maybe fell beneath the radar a little. Also, I am interested to hear LITA's Doug Randle reissue from early 2009.
Thanks Brendan & Jason for what a wonderful music site - it is such a
refreshment & Best Wishes to you in the new year!

Haven't actually heard any of the suggested reissues yet, but anything new by Clarence White has got to be good value, likewise those rare garage/psych compilations. Amazing how much great stuff escaped notice first time round back in those oh-so-creative years.

My suggestion, late though it is, is the wonderful Refugees anthology of British progressive rock 1968-1978 from the Famous Charisma label. Tony Stratton-Smith's imprint has only been compiled once before to my knowledge, as a horrendously expensive 4-CD coffee-table box-and-book set in 1993. This new 3-CD set has a few of the same tracks, but is IMHO actually a better compilation, being a fine balance of reasonably (but not too) well-known material and real rarities, and at a genuinely bargain price. The artists featured include some of the real Brit prog nobility: the Nice, Van Der Graaf Generator (nobody in the world was ever more "prog" than Peter Hammill's outfit), Audience, Lindisfarne (before they became a boozy bar band), Genesis (while Gabriel was still at the helm) and Rare Bird, plus a number of surprises including two tracks from the Monty Python team. "Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam" indeed!

May I take this opportunity to thank Brendan and Jason for their sterling work in making The Rising Storm the best music website of 2009, and to wish all the other contributors and commenters worldwide the greetings of the season and the very best for 2010.

Beatles (they did a really good job with this remaster)
Emmit Rhodes
Death
Big Star
Moby Grape

I would have put the Neil Young one, I just got the CD version and was pretty unimpressed by what I got for the price
