"Tropicália: Ou Panis Et Circenses" was a production in its own right even though many of these songs appear in different forms on albums by contributing artists and composers. It's best described as collaborative album loosely styled as a manifesto. Compilations tend to identify movements retrospectively while this album was designed to start one.
